Govt seedling over-order necessary - nursery owner

Earlier this week the National Party accused Forestry Minister Shane Jones of bungling the order of seedlings for its One Billion Trees programme, resulting in 400,000 seedlings being mulched. But the nursery owner whose seedlings were destroyed says he sees no problem with the process. Kevin Strawbridge of Northland Forest Nursery says the Ministry had to buy up every spare pine seedling in the country or risk having land but not enough trees - which would have been worse in the long run.
