Scientist welcomes $13m funding to stop kauri dieback

A scientist is welcoming an extra $13 million of government money over three years for research into stopping the spread of kauri dieback and myrtle rust. And while the Ministry for Primary Industries has been in charge of the dieback programme, the new research money will be managed by the Governments Strategic Science Investment Fund. Dr Amanda Black is a principal research officer of bioprotection at Lincoln University.
