'We have a mandate' - Pride chair Cissy Rock

Hundreds of members of the organisation Auckland Pride have voted to keep the board in office, after it faced a no-confidence motion for banning uniformed police at next year's Pride Parade. At a meeting on Thursday night, the motion was defeated - 325 votes to 273. It means the decision to ban uniformed police marching in the parade stands. Cissy Rock chairs the Auckland Pride board.
