From Morning Report, 7:43 am on 12 December 2018

A new study has found one in three nurses have fallen asleep at the wheel while driving home from work. Massey University's Sleep/Wake Centre says fatigue is fact of life in a work environment like a hospital which requires 24/7 care. But it says nurses' shifts could be better managed to make it safer for them and their patients. The director of the Sleep/Wake Research Centre is Professor Philippa Gander. She talks to Susie Ferguson.
