The Government is spending 1.4 billion dollars on road safety upgrades over the next 3 years, but not in time to make a difference this year. 356 people have already died on the roads this year. The Associate Minister for Transport Julie Ann Genter says planned road safety improvements will take a few years to bring the road toll down. Ms Genter spoke to us earlier this morning.
