Vic Uni rejects exchange student after mental illness revealed

Victoria University told a Canadian exchange student it didn't want her to come after she revealed she had a mental illness. The third year student was due to arrive in February and study in Wellington for one trimester. The university is defending its decision saying it has a duty of care to its students and based on the medical information provided it wasn't confident it could take care of her. The young woman now says she wishes she had never told the university she was receiving treatment.
