Hep C treatment to help thousands of NZers

From next month thousands of New Zealanders living under the shadow of the deadly Hepatitis C virus will finally be able to get lifesaving treatment. On February 1, Pharmac will begin funding the drug Maviret, which until now, treatment for genotype 3 patients has come at a cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Hazel Heal has been a leading campaigner for the drug to be more readily available.
