Vernon Tava discusses proposed centrist green party

From Morning Report, 8:27 am on 28 January 2019

The National Party leader Simon Bridges is keeping mum on whether his party would shack-up with a new centre-green party. Green voters might be offered another option in 2020 - with murmurs of a new party, which would focus on the environment, but not be wedded to the left. National leader Simon Bridges says if such a party does form, a deal with his party is neither on-or-off of the table. But he says it could be a very valuable political addition. Vernon Tava, a former Green Party candidate who has also tried for nomination as a National Party candidate, says this is an idea whose time has come. He talks to Gyles Beckford.
