Elderly who self harm likely driven by physical illness
New research has found those over 65 are more likely to report physical illness as a stressor leading up to self-harming. That's compared to the 45-64 age group, who were likely to report relationship separation and financial trouble as a stressor. They also had lower survival rates in the 12 months following their self-harm attempt. Charlie Dreaver reports.
