National puzzled by govt money for Northland local roads

The Opposition can't understand why the government is throwing cash at local roads in Northland while refusing to build the national highways Kiwis need to get to get there. To get to Kaipara the Prime Minister and Shane Jones travelled on gravel roads to Otematea Marae on Sunday to announce to delighted locals they are the latest to get a slice of the Provincial Growth Fund.
