Govt-construction accord to tackle building woes

Lower cost, higher quality, and more durable buildings - that's the aim of the new construction industry accord. Announced by the Prime Minister on Sunday, the agreement between the government and industry seeks to raise workforce capability and capacity, and to improve business performance and the building consents process. Geoff Hunt is chair of the Construction Strategy Group, which represents a broad range of companies in the sector. He talks to Philippa Tolley.
