Armed police in force for Anzac Day across NZ

From Morning Report, 7:44 am on 24 April 2019

Armed police will be out in force for Anzac Day tomorrow. The police say while there's no specific threat to services security will be tight - but they won't reveal how many officers are being deployed. The national threat level is now at medium after reaching its highest level following the March 15 mosque attacks in Christchurch. The number of commemorative services has been reduced in the Auckland region following advice from police. Most services around the rest of the country have not been affected. RNZ's Veterans' Affairs reporter Andrew McRae has the story.
