Folau rejects $1m to leave Rugby Australia contract

From Morning Report, 8:29 am on 6 May 2019

The Wallabies fullback Israel Folau has reportedly rejected a 1 million dollar offer from Rugby Australia to walk away from his contract. Folau attended a code of conduct hearing over the weekend for a social media post that said "hell" awaited "drunks, homosexuals [and] adulterers". A decision is expected in the coming days. Australia's first openly gay rugby league player, Ian Roberts, spoke about Folau's comments on Channel Nine's Sports Sunday programme. Peter FitzSimons is a former Wallaby and he's now a journalist at the Sydney Morning Herald. He talks to Corin Dann.
