Christchurch Polytechnic staff strike as pay talks stall

More than one hundred staff at the Christchurch Polytechnic walked off the job yesterday over stalled pay talks. The polytechnic wants to increase teaching hours as it looks to ramp up trades training to help with the city's rebuild, but staff are unhappy.
