The Whanganui District Mayor, says she's received praise from locals about the city's new welcoming signs, which have prompted some criticism within Council; A one hundred and 18 hectare block of cropping land, will be officially handed over to a Gisborne iwi today, as part of its Treaty settlement with the Crown; The Mana Party has confirmed its candidate to stand in the Maori seat of Te Tai Hauauru in November's general election; Te Arawa Lake Trust says a rugby field sized floating wetland planned for Lake Rotorua, is a win win project for local Maori and the rest of the community.
