Two people are being sent to an uninhabited Maori-owned island on the edge of the exclusion zone around the grounded cargo ship in the Bay of Plenty; Meanwhile the MP for Waiariki, Te Ururoa Flavell, is asking for those in his Bay of Plenty constituency to direct their efforts to help whanau on Motiti Island by donating kai, and to offer cleaning up equipment; The Ministry of Fisheries says repeat paua poachers in Gisborne are robbing locals - particularly Maori communities; The Te Aute Trust Board in Hawke's Bay has launched its Vision 2035 programme for Te Aute College and Hukarere Girls College.
