Maori immersion schools say they disagree with the Auditor General's stance that it's undesirable to give school staff advances on their pay; A tribe says it's not interested in talking about fossil fuels with the Crown's first Maori envoy for oil and mining; The government has announced that two schools in the Bay of Plenty township of Murupara will be merged into one; Meanwhile, Hekia Parata, has also announced a new college will replace two eastern Bay of Plenty Kawerau schools in 2013; A primary industries business group is keen to develop a 'brand Maori' - to market red meat, forestry and dairy and horticulture products to the world.
