Legal aid reforms put NZers at risk, says Law Society

The Ministry of Justice is under fire again from the Law Society over fixed legal aid fees -- this time for accident compensation cases. As part of the Ministry's attempts to trim legal aid spending, a proposed schedule of fees will see nearly 20% trimmed off the current spending on ACC legal aid work.
