The Bay of Plenty iwi, Ngai Tuhoe, says it hopes to reach a settlement with the Crown by the end of this year; The Government won't give a settlement date but did express hope it would be before the next election; The Maori Party's Education spokesperson, Te Ururoa Flavell, says the tertiary changes will create a barrier for Maori and Pasifika people who want to re-enter education; Tension between tribes and the Government during the First World War is being explored by military historian Monty Soutar.
