New Zealand well placed in early dressage results

Dana Vollmer of the United States set a world record time of 55.98 seconds in the women's 100-metre butterfly, while South Africa's Cameron Van der Burgh finished the 100-metre breaststroke in a world record time of 58.46 seconds.
