Hundreds of members of the Ngati Koata iwi are expected on the Whakatu Marae in Nelson this morning 8.30, to witness the signing of a Treaty settlement with the Crown; The Human Rights Commission has joined forces with four kaitiaki organisations in Wairoa, to work on a strategy to set the northern Hawke's Bay town on the path to becoming the first bilingual community in New Zealand; The principal of Kawerau's newest school says more local people such as kaumatua will be involved, now that the local intermediate and high school have amalgamated.
