The government concedes the time for consultation hui on the future of the Maori language is not long enough; It's emerged no mainstream schools are supporting a new kaupapa Maori Charter kura in Whangarei; A native American mental health worker is encouraging young Maori and Pacific people struggling with depression to form what's known as 'dream' groups, to help them open up and share their stories; The Bay of Plenty iwi of Ngai Tuhoe will officially open its new headquarters next month, and claims it will be the country's first ever, so-called 'living' building.
