A Motiti Island hapu spokesperson is continuing to push for the Rena wreakage to be taken away, despite elders from another sub-tribe on the Island saying it could result in someone's death; The Hokianga Hapu and Whanau Collective has scored a victory from a fractured claims funder; A Lake Waikaremoana tribal group says it doesn't want any disruption to power generation on the Waikaremoana hydro scheme - but potential investors in Genesis Energy must be prepared for the Iwi to co-manage the scheme if its treaty claim is successful; Tuhoe aims to open four tribal medical centres before the end of the year.
