In the inaugural edition of The Pips, Summer Music 101's very own (and very serious) music awards, Anika Moa honours the best of the best in categories unfit for 'proper' awards shows.

APRA Silver Scrolls 2015 Live Performances
On Thursday 17 September, songwriters from all over Aotearoa came together to celebrate their craft at the 50th APRA Silver Scrolls awards.

As part of the big birthday celebrations, music directors Godfrey De Grut and Cherie Mathieson employed an orchestra to accompany the finalists' pieces, performed, as has become tradition, as cover versions. Andre Upston was on deck to capture those performances.

Six60's Matiu Walters in Session
Now based in Los Angeles, Six60 are back home for the summer to see friends and family, and play an eight-date tour through the North and South islands. Ahead of their summer run, Six60 frontman Matiu Walters joins us in studio for a stripped-back session.
