Classically trained, avidly lo-tech, Alastair Galbraith is a multi-faceted artist whose musical career took off in the early 1980's with his first band " The Rip", whose early recordings were among the first released on Flying Nun records. He's been described as one of the obscure legends of the Dunedin music scene, a one-man cottage industry producing his own music on his own terms.
