Shamir Bailey hails from Las Vegas, the place known as a destination rather than a hometown.  Growing up in the 'burbs and working just off 'The Strip', the 20-year old's observations of this other-worldly playground form the basis of his assured debut album Ratchet.  Emma Smith talks to Shamir about what is like to be invisible in your own city, and trying to make music in a town known for the big name artists on their way out.
