Started as a solo project four years ago by Casey Latimer, GPOGP (Girls Pissing On Girls Pissing) has now evolved into a quintet, with Alex Brown, formerly of Street Chant, synth player and vocalist Aki Crummer, drummer Catherine Cumming, and bass and brass player Steven Huf.

Their new album is intriguingly titled Scrying in Infirmary Architecture, and refers to the act of seeing visions or foretelling future events in the surface of crystal balls or in this case, the walls of a hospital.

Emma Smith meets Casey at his home, where he’s embarking on a new painting project which is to illustrate a whole tarot deck on roughly A2-sized sheets of card.
