American rock band Baroness have garnered increasing critical acclaim since their inception in 2003, peaking with their most recent album Purple.

They’re playing a show in Auckland on Monday, so RNZ Music's Tony Stamp got on the phone with bandleader John Baizley to discuss overcoming tour-related injuries, fist pumping, and how John feels about being labelled a metal band.
