L.A.B., the latest project from Kora brothers Brad and Stu, Katchafire’s Ara Adams-Tamatea and vocalist/lead guitarist Joel Shadbolt have a new album, L.A.B. II, which came out yesterday.

The band performed a very special live session for RNZ Music at Neil Finn's Roundhead studios, where they previewed three songs. Today we’re stoked to present the second of those - 'Fashion Dread'.

Last week we premiered 'See The Light', also from the new album:

It's been just over 12 months since L.A.B. released their debut self-titled album, and now they're back with L.A.B. II.

L.A.B. are Kora brothers Brad (drums) and Stu (guitar/keys), Katchafire’s Ara Adams-Tamatea (bass) and vocalist/lead guitarist Joel Shadbolt (Batucada Sound Machine).

The new album showcases a diverse sound that encompasses reggae, funk, blues, soul, ballads and synth-heavy jams.

The album was produced by Wellington-based producer extraordinaire Dr Lee Prebble (The Black Seeds, Fly My Pretties) and drummer Brad Kora.

L.A.B. II showcases L.A.B. as a group who are growing in confidence, putting their top-notch musical talent and experience into a project that sounds like no other band in NZ right now.

The band have so far released two singles from the new album: ‘Midnight Summer’ and 'Free Fall In A Dream'.

L.A.B. II is out December 21st and is vailable for pre-order now.
