Auckland pop/R&B artist Geoff Ong calls himself a “pop star for dorks” and we’re proud to be premiering his brand new video for summer jam ‘Save Me the Weekend’... just in time for autumn.
Geoff Ong’s music is music for the millennial generation. It’s emotionally authentic and fun.
“Though the music I make is within the mainstream pop sphere, I feel like I can’t relate to a lot of the people making that kind of music… so I want to bring a bit of authenticity and relatability back into pop music,” Geoff says.
As muzic.net.nz put it, Jeff’s music is “the kind of pop that makes you automatically want to get a groove on, it is so darn happy sounding”.
Jeff released his first single 'Fingerprints' in July, and RNZ Music was lucky enough to record a special live version of the track:
Geoff’s second single 'Don't Know You No More' came out in October, and we’re hoping to hear a lot more from him in 2019.
