VIDEO PREMIERE: Budding Kiwi pop musician Abby Wolfe with ‘Change My Mind’

From RNZ Music, 2:19 pm on 18 April 2019

RNZ Music is proud to present the brand new video from budding NZ pop sensation Abby Wolfe, 'Change My Mind'.

22-year-old Abby Wolfe has been making music since her early teens. Over the last year or so. The budding pop musician has been making a name for herself with a collection of singles that showcase her fantastic vocal talent, and ability to pen catchy tunes.

Abby recently moved from Dunedin to Auckland, where she could be closer to some of this country’s top pop music producers.

In 2017, she took part in APRA’s Songhubs workshop, which pairs emerging artists with renowned songwriters and producers. Abby connected with producers Josh fountain (Leisure, Maala, Thompston) and Djeisan Suskov (Sachi, Chores, Openside) who’ve worked on all four of her singles including ‘Change My Mind’.

Abby wrote ‘Change My Mind’ about the uncertainty we sometimes feel when making life decisions: “Being caught between what you think is the right move … and sacrificing bits of yourself to please a crowd.”

The video for ‘Change My Mind’ is a “cheeky nod” to those internal struggles.

“It’s about sharing those feelings and asking that people are patient and kind with you as you figure it all out.

“I wanted to show that we have a bit of everybody in us. You can wake up on any given day and decide who you are. We have the power to redefine ourselves constantly!” says Abby.
