A West Auckland father and one of the most fascinating singer/songwriters working in this country, Sean James Donnelly plays bass and sings in Don McGlashan's Seven Sisters backing band and contributed one of the best songs on the Don's recent solo debut; he's written for Shayne Carter's Dimmer too - but SJD's own work and his soulful vocals and lyrics are the equal of both those local greats.
