The Breeders, an American band fronted by the Deal sisters, stepped up the pace when Kim Deal's full-time gig - playing bass with The Pixies - ended in '88. The original Breeders line-up included Tanya Donnely from Throwing Muses, Until Kim's twin - Kelly Deal - took her place in 92, in time to record the indie-hit record 'Last Splash'. The Breeders released Mountain Battles in April 2008. It's the first record the twins have made since cleaning up and getting sober. Kirsten Johnstone of Music 101 speaks to Kelly Deal.
