Object Lessons is an exhibition on at the Adam Art Galley in Wellington, which explores music as an object and the vinyl record as an unstable gateway into the past. Among the artists are Torbin Tilley, Caroline Johnston, Bryce Galloway... and Ronnie Van Hout, who's bright screenprints were often seen on the posters and record sleeves of early Flying Nun bands. But don't go to the exhibition expecting an aural history... there's actually very little sound. Emma Smith talks to curators Laura Preston and Mark Williams for starters.
