Musician and entrepreneur Chris Priestley has been involved in the Auckland folk music scene for over 30 years. In addition to his work as a musician and songwriter, he was one of the founders of Real Groovy Records and established iconic Auckland venues Java Jive and the Atomic Cafe. Chris recounts his story from folk festivals in the 70s, forming groups in the 80s and establishing a sanctuary where aspiring musicians could meet and share songs.
