The band is here this week, with their last gig tomorrow in Auckland, so flute-player Kirsten Johnstone called Ian for a stroll down memory lane, and to discuss their mutual love of wind instruments

The Herlihy family from Whangamomona invited neighbours, friends and strangers to take to the boards recently in a 24-hour shearathon to raise money for suicide prevention.
Michael Herlihy, a talented shearer and the youngest of 8 children, died last year when he was just 20  .. and Little River's Coronation Garden is a living memorial for local men who died in World War One and Two. Designed by local nurseryman Bruce King, the garden is packed with perennials, rhododendrons, flaxes and bulbs he's grown and planted himself.
