It may be the most legendary rock concert of all time - The Band's final hurrah at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom on Thanksgiving Day, 1976.
 
In 2017 the Band's musical genius and 'teacher' Garth Hudson and the original music director and co-producer of the concert, John Simon got back together for the very first time for the Last Waltz 40th Anniversary Concert Tour.

The tour boasts a stellar lineup of locals including Tami Neilson, Marlon Williams, Reb Fountain, Barry Saunders, Paul Ubana Jones, Adam McGrath (The Eastern), Kevin Borich, Wayne Bell, Mike Hall and Brett Adams (The Bads).

The group is also joined by Sister Maude Hudson and a 5-piece horn section.

Tonight a woman who gives battery hens a second chance at life... and baking and preserving enthusiasts Edna Crawford and Ruth Wheeler have been judging and competing on the North Canterbury A&P show circuit for over 50 years. They believe that the often stringent rules of entry surrounding ingredients, form and taste must be respected by the next generation of competitors to insure the cooking sections at rural shows don't lose their integrity and character.
