Kai-A-Miro: Mihingarangi Forbes

From Nights, 8:42 pm on 22 December 2015

'Kai-A-Miro' (Eating the berry) with Mihingarangi Forbes and Bryan Crump.

'Kai-A-Miro' comes from the proverb 'Ko te Manu kai Ana I te Miro nona te Ao' (the Bird that eats the Berry owns the World). This encapsulates the idea of a seed that when eaten gives insight to the one who consumes it.

Mihingarangi Forbes from RNZ's Te Manu Korihi team looks at a push to get a public holiday that remembers the New Zealand Wars, plus the best Māori politician of the year and Miss World NZ's controversial haka.
