Early last month - news came through that the India's Supreme Court had ruled that sex between consenting male adults did not constitute a crime. The man who lead the campaign to decriminalise gay sex was Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil, 52, heir to the throne of Rajpipla in western Gujarat state, an openly gay man himself. One of the men who helped advise that legal campaign was the retired Australian judge, Justice Michael Kirby.
