Plant ecologist Bec Stanley from Auckland Botanical Gardens on the chlorophyll-filled bio-mass that photosynthesises around us. Today she explains the curious phenomenon of periodic (not annual) production by plants of masses of seeds called mast seeding (we're in a mast year now).
