A team of 140 New Zealanders, who form the Defence Force's Provincial Reconstruction Team, is hunkering down in temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees in the mountainous region of Afghanistan.

Back in August we talked to Cam and Kate McCleay - the kiwi couple who with their three children have lived in Uganda for 7 years.
They run an adventure tourism business there, but for the last year they've also been involved in building a school on the shores of Lake Victoria.
The school had no books, so while back in New Zealand in August, the Mcleays put out the word to their kiwi friends to see if they could rustle up a few pre-loved books.
An interview on this programme helped things along a bit, and the upshot was 400 boxes of books, which were shipped to Uganda inside a jetboat, which the McLeays were importing for their business.
