That aid funding, of around half a billion dollars, actually represents around half of the total Budget of our Foreign Affairs Ministry, and it is back within Ministry control that our aid programme now returns.'
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Murray McCully discusses the change in direction he wants for the programme with economic development the new focus. We also speak to Josie Pagani, former Communications Manager for NZ Aid who has more recently been working for the OECD on aid programmes. She was also a Progressive Party candidate in last year's election.
