09:20 Occupational safety on farms

While on-the-job injury statistics are falling in many occupations, a new Otago University study has revealed alarmingly high injury and fatality rates in the farming sector. The two year, $400,000 study is the most comprehsive examination of occupational health in agriculture ever undertaken in New Zealand. The study was carried out by Otago University's Injury Prevention Research Unit.
