James Catlin, Melbourne-based barrister who has previously acted for Julian Assange. The WikiLeaks founder has been remanded in custody by a British court over allegations of sex crimes in Sweden. Supporters of Assange believe the charges are politically motivated, and argue that Swedish police made no moves to question or arrest him until after WikiLeaks released its massive tranche of secret documents; and William Banks, US law professor and director of the Institute for National Security and Counterterrorism at Syracuse University.

He says banks need to take much of the responsibility, because in many cases, rash lending practices and their push for dominance in the rural sector saw farmers strongly encouraged to borrow more and more - based on over inflated land prices.
