The Children's Commissioner and paediatrician Dr Russell Wills is calling for an enhanced food in schools programme but is not endorsing the bill that's currently before parliament, in its existing form. A private member's bill by Mana Party leader Hone Harawira seeks to introduce fully state-funded breakfast and lunch programmes into all decile one and two schools.
