09:05 Interim surgical mesh registry to be created - still no temporary ban

Surgical mesh advocacy group, Mesh Down Under, is claiming a partial victory in its campaign against the harm caused by the medical devices. Government agencies including the Ministry of Health, ACC, the Health and Disability Commission and surgeons' groups have agreed  to work towards setting up an interim register, but no agreement was made about the campaigners' plea to temporarily stop the use of the medical devices all together, as was agreed to in England Wales and Ireland, last month. Patricia Sullivan is one of the co-founders of Mesh Down Under and Rose Wall  is the Health and Disability Commisions's Deputy Commissioner.

Suzanne is in the studio to talk about her career, experimenting with music and she will also sing an A Cappella version of Tom's Diner. The shows take place on August 7th at the Bruce Mason Centre in Auckland and August 8th at the Wellington Opera House.
