Fish and Game says Conservation Minister did pressure them.

From Nine To Noon, 9:11 am on 28 July 2014

The Minister of Conservation is being accused of trying to interfere politically with Fish and Game by threatening it with consequences if it doesn't stop advocating for better water quality in lakes and rivers. The Minister denies this and says he just told the organisation it needs tobe smarter about the way it works - and work more collaboratively with the dairy and irrigation industries, rather than being anti-dairy. The chief executive of Fish and Game, Bryce Johnson says accounts of what was said at the meeting by those there are correct and the Minister was putting pressure on the organisation to tone down its stance on water quality.
