Cyclone Gita: damage may not be known for 24 hours

Tonga's National Emergency Management Office are struggling to get a full picture of the devastation after tropical Cyclone Gita smashed into the island kingdom overnight. Roads all over the main island of  Tongatapu are blocked by debris and downed power lines are hampering relief efforts. It says there is no house that hasn't been damaged. Gita is now heading towards Fiji. New Zealand has pledged to give $750 thousand dollars to help relief operations. RNZ Pacific journalist Koroi Hawkins has been speaking to Tonga's Disaster Management team.
