Kaihu Valley School Principal Sonia Simeon was outraged when she realised the 14 pupils at her tiny school were not eligible for free vaccinations of the meningococcal W strain.
They fall outside the age-group of the Northland DHB's mass vaccination campaign which was prompted by three deaths from the disease.
