Archaeologist honoured for research on origins of civilisation

Otago University archaeologist Professor Charles Higham has been honoured at the 2013 Shanghai Archaeology Forum for his decades of research into the origins of the civilisation that built Angkor Wat. Professor Higham was appointed to Otago in 1967 and has been actively engaged in archaeological research in Thailand for the past 43 years.
